Chongdong theater
This is the symbolic restoration of Wongak temple, the
first Korean modern theater, built in 1908. Since its
opening in June of 1995, the theater has been staging
modern creative performances together with traditional
art performances.
The National theater
This can be found on the eastern slope of Mt. Namsan.
It houses large and small performance halls, and
experimental and outdoor stages. The largest theater
has a seating capacity of 1,500. All of the stage, sound
and lighting systems are of world-class quality.
Performances by music, dance and drama companies all
take place year round.
